The FA are proud to host the Cardiology in British Sport symposium at Wembley Stadium on Friday 23rd March 2018 at Wembley Stadium.
This event, run by experts in sports cardiology, will bring together leading institutions in British sport to highlight key issues with the athlete’s heart that are currently being faced by medical practitioners.
Fabrice Muamba, a survivor of sudden cardiac arrest, will be a guest speaker and there is an optional tour of Wembley Stadium, along with lunch and refreshments included.
This symposium follows the highly successful ‘Cardiology in Football’ event in 2015. Given the amount of interest since then, along with contemporary scientific developments in the field of sports cardiology, this event will be bigger and better and encompass, for the first time, a variety of major organisations in British sport.
Conference fee: £100 (including VAT, lunch and refreshments).
Dr. Aneil Malhotra (NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology), Dr. Charlotte Cowie (Head of Medicine at The FA), Professor Sanjay Sharma (St. George’s University of London) and The FA Cardiology Consensus Panel.
The full programme is available as a PDF download here or on the About tab above.
Wembley Stadium is easily accessible via public transport.
Please note there is limited paid public parking at Wembley Stadium which is in additional to the conference fee. We will send delegates more details shortly before the event.
Wembley Stadium has excellent disability access. Please click here for details.
